Addressing Mental Health Stigma Among Latinxs: Lessons from Puerto Rico

Eliut Rivera-Segarra, PhD, is a bilingual (Spanish-English) behavioral and social scientist trained in Clinical Psychology. He is an Early-Stage Investigator and Associate Professor at the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) in Puerto Rico. Broadly, his research focuses on addressing health equity among minoritized populations. More specifically, his work addresses mental health stigma as a key factor hindering the physical healthcare of Latinxs living with serious mental illness.
