Theresa Anasti is Assistant Professor of Social Work at the Brown School, Washington University in St. Louis. She is an organizational scholar and social worker who studies nonprofit human service organizations, peer involvement in service provision, and the effects of the professionalization of grassroots organizations. Her current work looks at the role of syringe service programs Prior to her role at the Brown School, she was an Associate Professor of Social Work at Oakland University in Michigan.
